April 22, 2013 - New airline: Batik Air
Lion Air has officially launched their full service airline called Batik Air, which will begin operations on May 3, 2013 using 737-900ERs. The airline has also signed a commitment with Boeing to order five 787 Dreamliners for the airline, and intends to have them delivered by 2015, the first to order the type since Garuda Indonesia cancelled its firm order for 10 aircraft.
Starting from May 3, Batik Air will operate Jakarta - Manado - Jakarta twice daily with departure from Jakarta at 09:40 and 18:40 local time. Departure from Manado is at 06:30 and 14:50 local time. One day later, Jakarta - Balikpapan - Jakarta will start operations with departure from Jakarta at 05:45 and 11:45 and Balikpapan at 09:45 and 15:45 local time.
Batik Air, as a full service airline, offers a 32 inch seat pitch for economy class seats. Business class seats have a 45 inch seat pitch, complete meals and 30 kilograms of free luggage allowance so travelers will be able to travel in full comfort, comparable to what Garuda Indonesia currently offers.
Batik Air will also in-flight entertainment with personal screens with international television shows and Hollywood films. For younger travelers there will also be a variety of on-screen games available. Flights of Batik Air depart from terminal 3 at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta airport.

Malindo Air is a new airline and a company belonging to Lion Air. They have started operations last month and currently fly the routes Kuala Lumpur - Kuching - Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur - Kota Kinabalu - Kuala Lumpur. Reservations can be made through our website starting today.

November 06, 2012 - Free luggage with Batavia Air only 15 kilograms
Airline Batavia Air has changed a number of regulations in their reservation system. A number of flights has been canceled, the time limit for reservations has been shortened, but most important, the free luggage allowance has been lowered to 15 kilogram per passenger for newly issued tickets, from 20 kilograms earlier.
May 15, 2012 - Change of terminal for Lion Air/Wings Air flights
Starting May 30, 2012, all flights from and to Denpasar, Bima, Ende, Maumere, Tambaloka and Labuan Bajo will depart (check-in) and arrive at Terminal 3 of the Soekarno-Hatta airport of Jakarta. For those with a connecting Lion Air/Wings Air flight from or to these destinations in Terminal 1A or 1B, they will still receive the transit service as usual. For your convenience please report yourself to the transfer desk upon arrival. You will be transports to the correct terminal by Lion Air.
